Personal and real estate taxes are due by December 31 each year.
Residents can pay their taxes in several easy ways:

- In person at the Collector-Treasurer’s Office inside the Livingston County Courthouse

Mailed payments must be postmarked by December 31 of the taxed year to avoid late fees.
Acceptable forms of payment: Check, Cash, Debit or Credit card. Credit card payments include a 2.45% fee. Debit cards have a $4.00 fee.
COURTHOUSE SECURITY NOTICE: Livingston County taxpayers are reminded of current courthouse security rules.
When visiting the courthouse, please follow these guidelines:
- Enter through the north doors only, facing Webster Street
- Leave purses, backpacks, and any weapons in your vehicle
- Bring only your car keys, tax bill, and payment
A full-time security officer is on duty to help keep everyone safe.
For your convenience, a drop box for tax payments is located on the north side of the courthouse. It is checked several times each day.
